Spiritually oriented men have a difficult path to follow between yin and yang, sensitivity and the projection of authentic power into the world. We need to continue opening our hearts and clearing our emotional and psychological baggage while, at the same time, becoming more effective in our daily lives. As we proceed through this acceleration that is 2012, men need help navigating this narrow line between sensitivity and power. If we have no power to impact the world positively, our spirituality becomes just a strange hobby in the eyes of the world. So many so-called spiritual men are seen as weak and ineffectual when they could be trailblazers for a new humanity. Here I will outline the philosophy underlying my method, as a wizard and healer, of working with men on this issue.

What’s a wussy?

To me a wussy is someone who chooses conformity and acceptance over authentic self-expression. A wussy is a liar and a fake, not out of evil but out of insecurity. A wussy agrees outwardly with things they inwardly disagree with to get along and avoid rejection. A wussy values the acceptance of others over their deepest truth and as a result becomes less powerful, vibrant and attractive. In short, most of us have been conditioned to be wussies.

Wussies are not always outwardly weak at first glance. Many seem tough, have big biceps and cool tattoos. Others seem quite worldly and sophisticated. But deep down what links them all under the wussy category are their inauthentic need for approval and deep fear of rejection.

What’s the alternative?

Men who transcend the hell of wussiness have an advantage in the world. People who have never struggled with weakness will find it eventually, even if only on their deathbeds. A man who has transcended his weakness and claimed his authenticity and dares express it outwardly will become less judgmental of others, more compassionate, more outrageous, spontaneous and fun. He will naturally attract people on his wavelength because he will be sending that energy out without the interference conformity generates. A recovered wussy will also repel many people and many of these people will exit their lives or take on a smaller role during the transition. Repelling the wrong people from your life is at least as important as attracting the right ones, ask anyone who has been in an abusive relationship if you doubt that…

How do I make this transformation?

There are three steps to de-wussification. The first is to admit to the problem. At this stage we must sense that we are hiding our truth in order to find and/or maintain the acceptance of others. We must realize that we devalue ourselves and notice how devaluing leads to people not valuing us. We need to sit in our own mess for a second and feel how it leads to suffering, stagnation, frustration and meaninglessness. As with alcoholism, we need to admit that we have a problem and break through the barrier of denial. We then begin to get a vision of what life on the other side looks like and start desiring that new reality over our current state of diminished power.

The next stage is to stop the bleeding. This is the trickiest part of the process and the place most people make the biggest mess. There is a lot of literature out there, ranging form brilliant (David Deida) to asinine (some pick-up artists) pushing men to unleash their inner Alpha male. This is a very necessary stage that can go overboard.

Stopping the bleeding means to stop leaking emotional energy. We leak energy when we hang out with people that we don’t belong with, when we pursue or cling to relationships for inauthentic reasons, when we listen to people we disagree with go on and on and don’t speak up. This is the moment in our lives for doing some pruning of the tree so that it grows better in years to come. We end inauthentic relationships. We speak our truth without reservation. We stop manipulating others to like and not reject us. We become bolder, more outgoing and less deferential. We rediscover self-love. With the mature knowledge that we will never be loved by everyone, we dare to express who we are and who we aren’t, knowing we will lose old things before we gain new ones. We find our bravery and charisma in this stage and also find out that the world has actually been waiting for our authentic contribution. The renaissance begins here but it doesn’t end here.

The third stage is where we soften some of the hard edges that may have developed in stage two. Having battled to find and exert our authentic nature, we now find ourselves more understanding of the eccentricities of others. We delight in difference and diversity when we love ourselves because we are no longer in competition with anyone. When our task is to express our true nature, we realize that nobody in the world can compete with us. In stage two we may have been a little combative because we still embodied some of the victim/submissive consciousness of the wussy. We were trying to break out of an orbit and sometimes strenuous effort had to be made. Now we are beyond the orbit of the self-denying weakness of the wussy and have no fear of being sucked back in.

Now we can express our truth flamboyantly or in any way we choose. Intuition and other creative abilities open up effortlessly. Now, having cleared the psychic interference that comes from obsessively gauging others’ acceptance levels, we can sense what is really going on in our environment and lend our unique energy to the moment. That’s when the magic starts to happen. Manifestation of love and money become natural outgrowths of our self-love rather than efforts to appease the chip on our shoulder or our feelings of lack. Our very presence energizes the atmosphere and we radiate love and acceptance of all. We are no longer concerned with what others think as much as the projection of our truth and unique perspective. We know that we deserve to be here and that our desires are signposts from the divine, leading us upward on our evolutionary path. Now we can really live the joyful life we intended to manifest when we descended into this awesome realm of existence.

At one time it perhaps seemed that ‘the love that loves you’ was sourced in Mommy and/or Daddy. But things happened to make you doubt their connection to that love. Sometimes it was a lover or really close friend that seemed to be the carrier of this love. Usually they have disappointed you at some time. Maybe you have gone, or are going through a period where you feel totally disconnected from this love. Many just give up on this love and put their attention to getting things like sex and money as a substitute.

But “the love that loves you” is real. It is alive and it is available to you. It is dedicated only to loving you and all you have to do is open up and receive it. This is good news! The bad news? Between you and it is your legacy of emotional pain. But “the love that loves you” wants to wash away that pain. It wants to hold you in its arms and tell you how beautiful you are. It wants to sing and praise your uniqueness. It adores your very life force and everything that life force emanates. If we can embody this love we will find that its source is as much within us as anywhere else. The fact is that, as the Beatles said, “…in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.”

Any love you have ever experienced in your life is just a tiny fraction of this love and this love is what you really are, under all of the pain and conditioning. When you become one with “the love that loves you” you become the source of everything you’ve ever been seeking. When you adore yourself, you see others as so much more adorable in their own unique ways. This is about becoming the love we’ve always been seeking. Only then can we start to manifest a life of manifestation rather than a life of pain avoidance.

For me, however, this injunction against magical thinking felt like a grave violation to my core being. It felt like a cross between horrible abuse and the feeling a child has learning that Santa Claus was a lie. Deep down I knew that the magical realm was the real one. As I got older and discovered works such as the Seth books by Jane Roberts and the Conversations With God series by Neal Donald Walsch and later the ‘Abraham’ books by Esther and Jerry Hicks, I found my way back to magical thinking via the path of conscious manifestation and energy healing.

When we set out to perfect the art of conscious manifestation we get excited about the possibilities but oftentimes get stuck in the mind and the new exciting theories we have learned. We start constructing a new theory about how to live and create and this is perfect. There comes a time when things do not work out according to the new understanding. It becomes tempting to throw out all of this “magical thinking” and go back to the old ways.

This is the moment of truth, and there will be many more to come on this path or personal re-invention. Stay tuned for part two when I discuss overcoming the barriers to making Magical Thinking a cornerstone of your new ability to manifest a more authentic reality for yourself.

The antidote to this is to keep on grounding. Grounding is all about being connected to the physical body and the earth. It is the opposite of being lost in thoughts, fantasies and illusions. Grounding is a prerequisite to sanity. It is a cure for neurotic over-thinking and it is an absolute necessity for people seeking to peek through the veil into the subtle realms that underlie this physical reality.

So, here’s a simple grounding exercise. It should be done whenever you get stuck in thoughts–especially negative ones that generate suffering. You can never be too grounded, so here goes:

1. Sit down and notice the weight of your butt in the chair. Just notice that you have a body and it has weight that you can notice. Inhale. Slowly exhale and just notice your physical sensations.
2. Inhale again and as you exhale let your energy drop down to your feet. Just imagine all of your energy and awareness dropping down all the way to your feet as you inhale and exhale again.
3. Notice all of the energy in your head. You may call it thoughts. Inhale again and imagine all of that energy dropping all the way down to your feet as you exhale.
4. Notice that all of your body can ‘think’ or process information. Notice that your head/mind/brain still functions when there are fewer thoughts crowded there. Feel your skin, muscles, breath, bones and awareness as one thing.
5. Relax for another 30 seconds or more.
6. Done

This technique is especially powerful as a preparation for important phone calls!

1) The Future–Aquarius rules all thinking about the future.  Too often we yearn and hope for a great future.  This coming Monday, try setting an intention for your future.  Make the vision authentically eccentric and ‘electrifying’ for added effect.

2) Freedom and Originality–Intend to express more of who you really are in the next year.  Intend the self-love necessary to support your self-expression.  Intend to feel the thrill of expressing things you never dared acknowledge.  What aspect of your soul wants to rebel from conformity?

3) Your Gift–Intend to receive more information on the gifts you have for the world.  Intend that any coldness, aloofness, and disconnection from humanity be lifted so that your gifts and talents can play their part in uplifting the frequency of humanity.

Originally from California, I began exploring the wider world at an early age.   My travels and studies took me first to Sweden at the age of sixteen where I was a foreign exchange student.  At age eighteen, I moved to Israel where I completed an intensive Hebrew language course on a Kibbutz. I then lived in Sweden and later completed my Bachelors degree in International Affairs at the American College in Paris. Altogether I spent six years living in Europe. I have lived in Sweden, France, Germany, Belgium, Israel and England and speak Swedish, French and German besides my native English.

My actual introduction to the inner worlds of spirituality began at fourteen, when I met my first spiritual teacher, Laura Riene. She was my art teacher in summer school but turned out to be more of a guru.  She lovingly ripped my ego to shreds, and being near her was like what it must have been like being near Christ.  She was so full of wisdom that with one look, and without words, she would answer my most perplexing questions.  She radiated pure love but held an impossibly high standard or purity.  I’ve always felt that going to India and looking for a guru would be indulgent after having a teacher like that.   Mrs. Riene gave me spiritual homework that will never be fully complete. There was no use looking for more prescriptions from other teachers. I had to find it myself.

In 1998, I experienced my first energy healing breakthrough as a client and the event—a true aha! moment—immediately triggered my exploration into “alternative” approaches to healing. After that session I knew my life would change.  My six years of Doctoral Studies would have to end with a downgrade, a Master’s Degree in Political Science, and I ended up devoting myself to energy healing and personal transformation as a vocation. After that point I   I have trained in the healing modalities of Holographic Repatterning™, Reiki, VortexHealing®, and Dolores Cannon Quantum Hypnosis™.

Most recently, I have begun formulating my own unique system of energy healing. This system, called Transformatology®, is based on the premise that all of our issues can be resolved by animating our Core Frequency™.  This system will begin to be offered to students of energy healing and personal transformation in workshops starting in mid-2012.

The Issue:

The root of all suffering is insecurity.  Insecurity is at the root of fear and shame.  Everyone feels insecure at his or her core unless a major shift in consciousness happens.   Insecurity dis-empowers by cutting us off from our divine source.  If we know who we really are, we realize how indestructible we really are.  The body is highly insecure; it will die.  We are not only bodies, luckily.

Background:

It’s 2012 and we are evolving.  We are seeing new possibilities of personal empowerment and learning that we manifest our own reality through the energies, emotions and core beliefs we embody.  The sum total of all of our ‘energies’ goes out into the world and attracts people and events into our lives through the power of resonance.  We are beginning to take responsibility for what we create and what we fail to create.  We are also coming face to face with the limitations we have agreed to live by and the limitations we have imposed upon ourselves.

As the energies we are bathed in continue to rise in frequency we find the cocoon of limiting beliefs feels more and more constricting.  Struggle increases as limitations that used to seem logical and practical become unacceptable.  Structures that exist outside of us like corporations, governments and religions are being exposed for all of their self-serving power hungry aspects.

Insecurity is epidemic and has been for a long time.  We could make a strong case for the proposition that insecurity is at the foundation of our entire world system.  Everyone is insecure, from the corporate executive who knows that riches have not bought contentment to the rock star whose fame is still not ‘enough’ to the homeowner struggling with imminent foreclosure.

Do you always experience yourself as?

Worthy, Loveable, Attractive, Creative, Good Enough, Unique and Complete

Most of us don’t.  We live from a place of insecurity.  There is a huge cloud of financial insecurity hanging over the entire world at the moment.  There are personal insecurities about our abilities and worthiness that have plagued all of our lives.  There is a fear in a majority of people of not being good enough and on top of all of this we all know that we are going to die at the end of it all.

The goal of Transformatology® is for a person to live from their Core Frequency™.   To do this we first have to come from a place of unquestioned inner security.  Fear must be overcome, no emotions can be avoided and intuition must become a guiding force in life.  Let’s ponder insecurity from an imagined place where the entire concept was unheard of.  Let’s ponder it from a place of being In Security rather than insecure.

In Security we are secure of the fact that I am.  I am and that’s all I need to know.  I am the center of my perception.  When we are truly secure, secure like nothing in society really encourages, we come from an innocent self centered place, like children but a bit wiser.

Confidence is the natural state.  It cannot be attained by accomplishment or accolade.  Confidence is a choice.  Most of us have learned to seek confidence through accomplishment.  When we are applauded by others, according to conventional wisdom, we build up confidence.  When we are rejected or criticized, confidence decreases.  The only conclusion one can possibly reach from this state of affairs is that we must strive to accomplish success in the eyes of others if we are to enjoy the privileged state of confidence.

Transformatology® is a healing system dedicated to us making a big shift out of this mode of thinking.  I suggest that we start from a place of confidence.  It isn’t about faking a confidence we don’t have. We start from a place that says, “I am, but I’m not sure about anything else.”  I know I exist.  I don’t necessarily know that the reality I am perceiving is empirically correct.  I do, however, know that I exist.  Because I exist, I assume that I deserve to exist, that whatever force is out there in the universe more powerful than me has allowed me to exist and may even be happy about my existence.  I think it’s a better starting place than the shame of original sin, at least.

Why?  Because you’d like to consciously manifest a more harmonious reality.

Absolute self acceptance and deep self love are major prerequisites to conscious manifestation that oftentimes get ignored. We visualize and imagine and do all of the other manifestation work but we forget to prepare ourselves to receive.  And, you cannot receive anything you are not the frequency of.  In fact, many of us dream of creating magnificent realities for ourselves in order to escape our own self judgement.  We imagine if we had more, we would feel better.  In fact, conscious manifestation works in the opposite direction.  We manifest our reality based, to a great degree, on our emotional state.  For our intentions to become manifested in reality, it is very important to prepare the ground. You are that ground. Your essence is divine and worthy of all that you can conceive of.

Many times we seek the power of conscious manifestation in order to overcome feelings of powerlessness, inadequacy or some sort of inferiority. When we do this, we send out the message that we are powerless, inadequate and inferior. That message of unworthiness energetically combines with our positive, divinely-inspired intention and creates a less than satisfactory situation. The two energies cancel each other out. Also, we are telling the universe that we are not really a good place to direct the goodies towards. You are asking the Universe out on a date but starting the conversation off with, ” I know you’d rather go out with my friend but, gee, you are so great and I would really like…….” Aaaahhhh! Feel the vertigo as you fall down that good ole bottomless pit.

Conscious manifestation begins with, “I am …..” and proceeds to “I desire…..”

If we don’t love who we are, we cannot receive what we desire on a consistent basis.

And the process for not loving who we are comes down, to a large degree, to Emotional Repression.  We repress the emotions we are ashamed of and they turn into angry inner children who have the power to derail our ambitions…..More on that in another post.

I define a wizard as someone who helps people magically transform.  The highest form of transformation is self realization.  From there, a person can manifest a life of authentic creativity which automatically leads to joy and happiness.  As a wizard and healer I have a unique gift for guiding people to their highest truth.  I do not have that truth.  You do.  And you have seen it.  It is reflected in your highest excitement and aspirations.  It is also usually muddied by some degree of hesitation and confusion.

I have observed that each of us has a unique gift to offer the world.  We also have a unique mosaic of ‘issues’ and conditioned patterns of negativity, reactivity and limitation.  We have a choice:  we can either surrender to our conditioning patterns and reactivity or, we can surrender to the commitment to revealing our unique gift to the world.  It is all about whether we choose to set out on the path of empowerment through surrender.  If we can surrender the past, we can claim the present.  And that’s the only way to have an impact on the future.

As we clear the patterning holding us back in life, Conscious Manifestation becomes the main focus of this work.  There is a spiritual acceleration occurring on the planet at this time.  Many people have theories on what is happening.  I love reading about them all but, the most impressive thing is seeing the way people are opening to change these days.  It is being widely seen that we can transform ourselves through many types of therapies and manifest improved life situations.  We really do create our own reality.  The choice is only whether we do it consciously or not.

The most difficult aspects of this acceleration is for people who refuse to move and change along with the intensifying energies.  There is a secret many know, that if we can completely feel the feelings we most fear, we can transcend the conditioning that we have built up to protect ourselves from them.  We see so many in society doing everything they can to ignore the feelings within them.  These feelings spring from divine source and contain the roadmap home.  They are the intuition that keeps us on the path.  The only problem is that when they have been ignored for so long, they are hard to read.

So, what I do is to help my clients find their highest truth.  Most of my clients are in creative fields so most of my work is about helping people dare to express from their deepest place of truth.  But, we are all creators and we are all artists when we move into the realm of Conscious Manifestation and artists must have the courage to expose the soul eternally.  As we move in this direction, all of the conditioning patterns that have been obscuring the truth emerge.  It is challenging to evolve but when we remain stuck, cyclical patterns of suffering are guaranteed.  The most powerful state we can enjoy is the state of vulnerability and openness.

I work mainly with the tools of Vortexhealing ® , Dolores Cannon Quantum Healing Hypnosis™ and my own method called Transformatology® to clear this conditioning.  The energy work that I do is very powerful in bringing about life-changing transformation.  The work brings clients to a place where the self and all of the feelings can be honored for the divine wisdom they point to and ultimately, contain.
